J.R. Heald Builders is honored to announce that our Azure Avenue home remodeling project was recognized at the recent NH Home Builders Association (NHHBA) Cornerstone Awards, held on the Seacoast in Dover, NH. We proudly took home the Gold Award in the category of Transformative Renovation – $250,000–$1,000,000.
This recognition was both a surprise and a humbling moment for our team, underscoring our commitment to delivering thoughtful, high-quality work that transforms how our clients live. Sponsored by GE, LG, and Eversource, Cornerstone Awards celebrated excellence across New Hampshire’s home building and remodeling industry.
About the NHHBA Cornerstone Awards
The Cornerstone Awards, presented by the New Hampshire Home Builders Association (NHHBA), highlights excellence in the state’s residential building industry.
The program recognizes outstanding work in home building, remodeling, design, and innovation. Each project is judged on craftsmanship, creativity, and ability to meet client needs.
Categories span from new construction to transformative renovations. Earning a Gold Cornerstone Award demonstrates a builder’s ongoing commitment to enhancing quality and improving client experiences throughout New Hampshire.
What's the Winning Project?
Our win became possible due to the Azure Avenue home remodeling project. Completed in 2024, the Azure Avenue project stands as a true example of how carefully planned design and skilled craftsmanship can enhance both function and lifestyle.
The project included:
- A large addition to expand the living space
- A two-car garage for convenience and storage
- A mudroom that adds everyday practicality for the family
- A brand-new primary suite, complete with a bedroom and bathroom retreat
- A multi-use room, thoughtfully designed to serve as either a quiet home office or a cozy sitting room
Every detail was approached with a client-first mindset. The homeowners entrusted J.R. Heald Builders with bringing their vision to life, and the finished result balances comfort, utility, and beauty.

A Community Effort
Winning this recognition highlights more than just the success of one project. It reflects the values of the J.R. Heald Builders team, the trust of our clients, and the support of the broader building community in the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire.
“This award was a humbling experience and speaks to the work we are doing to improve our business and the client experience continuously. During this project, we realized many areas of opportunity to address, and for that, we are grateful to the homeowner for allowing us to work with them.” – Justin Heald, Owner, J.R. Heald Builders
