A LITTLE HISTORY...
My training as a builder started as soon as I could lift a hammer. I would tag along with my father to his projects as long as I can remember. He would lean down or look back and give me advice on how best to pull out a stubborn nail or straighten a crooked board. As I grew older, I found that I was starting to stand in front of him. I would be the one climbing the ladder to install the weathervane or lift the heaviest load. All along his advice and expertise kept streaming (and was almost always welcome). My years as an apprentice have given me an advantage in both quality and efficiency that would be hard to replicate.
After working for almost fifteen years in the family business, I decided to found JR Heald Builders, LLC in 2002. With my business, I’ve tried to retain all of the best of what I learned from previous generations and added my own twist. I approach each project as an opportunity to make something that’s both lasting and special. Something that makes people stop and take note of a small detail or new design. I work with my clients to determine what exactly they want from their new home, addition or piece of furniture.
I always strive to be approachable and easy to talk to. If something isn’t exactly how you were picturing it, let me know and we’ll find a way to make it just right. Likewise, I won’t stand back and let something slide that isn’t quality.
I’ve intentionally kept the business small. When you call, you’ll be speaking with me. If you have a project in mind, please give me a call.
